A Surprise 60th Birthday

Happy Flashback Friday! At the beginning of this year, we had the pleasure of planning a surprise 60th birthday party. This sensational soiree was hosted  by the birthday girl's daughter, who came to us to help implement her vision for an intimate and chic dinner party. 60th Birthday Party-WEB-0001

The celebration took place in the South Beath private dining room at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab in Washington, DC, just steps away from the White House. Joe's delicious cuisine coupled with their ambiance made this the perfect venue for the occasion. We enhanced the atmosphere of the dining room by incorporating red, black and white in the decor elements. To further set the tone for this chic affair, each table was beautifully decorated with floral centerpieces, damask table linens, and menu cards at each place setting. Additionally, we designed a festive sweets table for guests to enjoy after dinner and tributes to the honoree.

We were able to successfully pull off the surprise, which made the occasion all the more special. The birthday girl and her guests truly enjoyed themselves; it was such a pleasure to work with this family and the team who helped us:

A Seuss-tastic Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we had a seuss-tastic time showering my best friend Tiffany and her family, as they await the arrival of baby boy Karson! As an elementary school teacher, she was all too thrilled to go with a Dr. Seuss theme for the shower. We enjoyed helping to bring Karson's Seussville to life and working with his family and friends. With lots of Cat in the Hat stripes and Dr. Seuss decor, along with fun games and a delicious menu, it was truly an all around great afternoon. The shower had a SWEET ending thanks to: Tiffany's Treaures, who provided red velvet cupcakes, chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate covered oreos and vanilla cake parfaits; Something BARowed, who designed the candy table; and Valley Cupcakes, who provided the Dr. Seuss shower cake. karson1 karson2 karson3 karson4 karson5 karson6

Event Recap: "The Talk"

I really like the CBS hit talk show, "The Talk", which airs weekdays at 2pm EST. In case you haven't seen it, the show provides a great balance of celeb and world news, girl talk, comedy and appearances from note-worthy guests. Well, the Women's Ministry of my church had an awesome idea and created their own version of "The Talk". They had a great panel of hosts, including the Pastor of our church. The event provided a great opportunity for all attendees to chat about questions pertaining to relationships, church, and more. Sensational Soirees was contacted to create a candy table for the event for guests to enjoy...check out the finished product below: collage collage2 collage3the talk2  Pics 054
