Christmas Brunch

Christmas is just 2 days away, and we are so excited! We hope you are enjoying this wonderful holiday season. If you haven't quite decided on your Christmas Day menu, then this "Tips Tuesday" post is just for you. My girlfriends and I always look forward to our annual Pre-Christmas soiree, where we enjoy the festivity of the holidays, delicious food, and exchange gifts. Each year, we take turns hosting, and this year was my turn. We all love brunch food, so it was a no brainer that I would go that route for the menu. With the help of my family, we whipped up a yummy spread for the ladies, and the afternoon was filled with laughter and lots of holiday cheer. Thanks to Bird's Party for the amazing, free printables!

Brunch is also a great choice for Christmas day, and is a perfect way to gather with family after opening presents. Try the menu I chose for our Christmas soiree, and I guarantee it will be a hit:

  • Steak and Eggs
  • Chicken and Waffles
  • Crab Cake Sliders
  • Fried Potatoes
  • Collard Greens
  • Fruit Kabobs

You can complete your holiday spread with a variety of desserts and drinks, such as Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and egg nog. Tell us what you are most looking forward to on Christmas in the discussion section of this post.

Sensationally yours,

Event Recap: Celebrating 90 Years!

Last week, we shared recaps from a 1st and 30th birthday party, and now this week we're excited to share about a 90th birthday party we assisted with. Yes, you heard me right, 90th birthday...what a wonderful milestone to reach in life! The birthday girl is certainly a special lady who positively impacted many lives, one in particular being my pastor who hosted the grand soiree at Camelot by Martin's in Upper Marlboro, MD. Sensational Soirees own, Shirley, provided planning, design and invitation assistance for the event, which was attended by more than 100 guests. The color scheme was purple and silver, which was highlighted everywhere, from the table linens down to the ribbon on the party favors, which were personalized mugs. The 2014 color of the year, radiant orchid, made its way in the purple decor by way of the beautiful floral centerpieces. Some special highlights from the party included a live jazz band, a lavish buffet meal and special toasts from family and friends. This was definitely a wonderful affair; see for yourself below: drtaylor90th 042 drtaylor90th 022 drtaylor90th 016 drtaylor90th 017 collage1 collage2 collage3 collage4 drtaylor90th 049
