Baby It's Cold Outside

It's the most wonderful time of the year, and officially Winter. Although this December hasn't brought the expected snowflakes, a special "Baby It's Cold Outside" baby shower did! I'm so excited to share the details on this Christmas Eve.

When planning this wintery theme with mom-to-be, Lari, we were dreaming of a white, tan, silver and baby blue color palette perfect for a little prince on his way. Lots of snowflakes, burlap, trees and Christmas lights helped to set this December scene. With the incorporation of a soup bar, festive dessert table and hot drink station, the theme truly came to life in all aspects of the day. The shower was filled with lots of fun and activities for the whole family, to include: a photo booth, face painting for the kids, an entertaining game of Baby Feud, and more. As a thank you for warming the parents-to-be hearts, all guests received the perfect winter takeaway...smores!

This was my last soiree for 2015, and it was such an amazing one to end our year! I especially enjoyed working with event stylist, Tracy of Tracy Cakez, Sarah of Pure Passion Photography, Snapshot Moments Photobooth,  and Kelley Lou Cupcakes, who all helped to make the shower sensational. Tell me what you think about this cute and cozy baby shower in the comments section below.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, and visit our blog again before the New Year!

Sensationally yours,

Boutique Owner's Baby Shower + Feature

Hey there sensational folks! Our summer has been super busy with weddings, soirees, spending time with loved ones and working on some exciting things we have coming up (stay tuned). However, we plan to get back in the swing of sharing inspiration, tips, features and more on our blog every week. We hope you'll join us for the fun!

We recently had the pleasure of styling the cutest gender-neutral baby shower for our good friend, Ericka Symonette, who runs a contemporary women's online clothing shop, Pulchritude Boutique. This fashionable wife and mom of 2 elementary school aged girls didn't want a traditional baby shower, but instead a fun "Come Back Kid" themed soiree to celebrate Baby #3 with her girlfriends. Gray and white chevron with a pop of yellow was the perfect color combo to set the scene of the private event space within D.C.'s Ebenezers Coffeehouse. With the addition of flowers, lemons, candles, and of course baby decor galore this shower definitely exuded lots of warmth and sunshine to reflect the excitement for new life. Here's a peek at some of the eye candy:

Cute, right?! We so enjoyed working on this shower and with the amazing shower hostesses. As mentioned prior, Ericka owns a women's clothing boutique, and their blog has an awesome summer series called Bravitude where they are featuring women who are bravely walking in their purpose. Guess who was featured apart of this inspiring series last Tuesday?! Yours truly, and what an honor! Check out the full interview here, and Pulchritude's website for fashion finds and style tips.

Hope the rest of your Tuesday is terrific! Tell us what you think about gender-neutral showers in the discussion section of this post.

A Seuss-tastic Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we had a seuss-tastic time showering my best friend Tiffany and her family, as they await the arrival of baby boy Karson! As an elementary school teacher, she was all too thrilled to go with a Dr. Seuss theme for the shower. We enjoyed helping to bring Karson's Seussville to life and working with his family and friends. With lots of Cat in the Hat stripes and Dr. Seuss decor, along with fun games and a delicious menu, it was truly an all around great afternoon. The shower had a SWEET ending thanks to: Tiffany's Treaures, who provided red velvet cupcakes, chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate covered oreos and vanilla cake parfaits; Something BARowed, who designed the candy table; and Valley Cupcakes, who provided the Dr. Seuss shower cake. karson1 karson2 karson3 karson4 karson5 karson6
