Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I'm so excited to be going to the Coterie Retreat in New Orleans next week, where I'll connect and learn with fellow Coterie members and wedding industry pros! This will be my first time traveling to New Orleans, but not my first taste of the New Orleans culture. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of planning a mardi gras inspired wedding for sensational couple Aja and Quincy.
Although the wedding was held locally, we were able to bring the groom's NOLA roots up to DC. To say this wedding was sensational is an understatement - second line at the reception and all! With the help of amazing vendor friends like Petal's Edge, this wedding exuded both elegance and New Orleans flair. Both out of town and local guests were able to enjoy amazing views of DC and Virginia at the couple's wedding, held at the unique penthouse venue Top of the Town.
Aja and Quincy's warm personalities made them such a joy to work with, and everyone involved with their day from their parents to the bridal party were so enjoyable. Their ceremony was so beautiful and love-filled, with a breathtaking view of DC perfectly in the background. Followed by the reception which was full of memorable moments, New Orleans inspired cuisine, non-stop fun and dancing, plus greek love as the bride is a Delta and the groom is a Kappa. The bride and groom's vision and wedding day was executed just the way they wanted and more, which made me one happy planner!
Aja and Quincy are such a beautiful couple, and it was a pleasure to be apart of their journey to "I do"! Check out some of the details of their mardi gras inspired wedding, captured by Arts Group, which was definitely a highlight of our 2016 wedding season.
