Fridays are meant to be FUN, so we're closing out this month's celebration of love and marriage with FUN. The next time you're considering a night out or having fun with friends, perhaps you and your significant other should host a soiree with your couples friends.

Couples

When it comes to co-ed functions, I'll all for incorporating fun games. My husband and I enjoy hosting and attending couples game nights with our friends. Not only are these type of events so much fun and filled with non-stop laughter, but I believe they also foster a positive community that celebrates love. To host a couples soiree that all your guests will enjoy, you should keep 3 things in mind:

1) Guest List - You can invite as little as four couples, or all the couples you know. Just as long as everyone invited is all about having an enjoyable time, then that makes for a great guest list.

2) Menu - This is especially important if you are hosting the soiree at your home. While you don't have to have an extensive menu, guests will typically expect to nibble on something when coming to an event at your home. Therefore, prepare or order appetizers and beverages at a minimum.

3) Fun activities - In order to have a great couples night, you must have something planned for your guests to do. While many couples can have fun simply socializing all night, it's still a good idea to have activities lined up, such as playing Taboo, cards and other interactive games. If you're inviting couples who all don't know each other, consider including some icebreaker activities, as well.

We hope these 3 simple steps will help to make hosting your next couples event a breeze. Now, to infuse more creativity into your event, a theme or going full throttle with your activities is the way to go. Anything from a poker party, to celebrity couples costume party at Halloween to a full out co-ed sports competition in the warmer months are perfect themed events that are sure to get your guests in the mood for fun.
